The Fashion Institute of Technology will honor Karl Lagerfeld, head designer and creative director of Chanel, on September 10. This prestigious award is yet another massive accolade to add to his several awards. Diane Kruger, his muse, will present him with the Fashion Visionary Award at the Couture Council Luncheon on September 10.
“In recognition of his unparalleled role as a creative force in the world of fashion, we have chosen to bestow on Karl Lagerfeld, The Couture Council Fashion Visionary Award.,” Dr. Valerie Steele, director of The Museum at FIT, said. “This unique award was created exclusively for Karl Lagerfeld. Since his arrival at Chanel in 1983, Karl Lagerfeld has brought the company to the forefront of innovation and creativity and has continuously maintained Chanel’s position as the most coveted fashion label in the world. Not only is Lagerfeld an inimitable designer, he is also an acclaimed photographer, publisher, renowned collector, and a true connoisseur.”
Lagerfeld was chosen to receive The Couture Council Fashion Visionary Award by the Couture Council Advisory Committee, an independent group consisting of curators, editors, and retailers. (Source)

On July 13th, Diane attended the Paris premiere of her upcoming film, “Pieds Nus Sur Les Limaces” (“Lily Sometimes”). Both Fabienne Berthaud and Ludivine Sagnier were on hand at the Mk2 Bibliotheque for the celebrations. Head over to the gallery for the latest additions.

We love how she contrasted her fuchsia cashmere cardigan with a minty green tweed skirt. A studded belt and fedora add a unique touch, while Lanvin chain pumps — similar to a pair Kristin Davis wore earlier this week — and a vintage Hermès inject a high-fashion touch.

The stars of Fox TV present and future stepped out in NYC last night to celebrate the Upfronts announcement of their Fall schedule. Fringe’s Joshua Jackson brought Diane Kruger to the party, just the latest stop in their loved-up world tour featuring their popular PDA. Keri Russell is another welcome face in the crowd to celebrate her new sitcom Running Wilde alongside Will Arnett.
Bones duo David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel stuck together as his relationship with his wife makes frequent headlines. Lea Michele continued her reign of the red carpet in a short, colorful number after the Glee creator Ryan Murphy denied rumors that she’s difficult or a diva on set. He also said that they are talking to Britney Spears about tapping into her musical archive! Dianna Agron looked adorable in red before the whole cast hits the road when their tour kicks off in LA on Thursday.
