Quentin Tarantino treated the cast of Inglourious Basterds to pizza, cupcakes and champagne before the Oscars.
Eli Roth confessed to E! News that he, Tarantino, Christoph Waltz and Diane Kruger were already tipsy as they worked the red carpet on the way into the awards after partying at Tarantino’s house while he acted as DJ.
Eli revealed: “At 2 o’clock, we all gathered at Quentin’s house, and we had pizza and champagne and cupcakes. Quentin deejayed and played ’70s music… that exemplifies everything about him.” He added: “It’s truly a celebration, we’re wasted – that’s the only way to do the carpet – you don’t want the filter on, you want to incinerate that filter of appropriate speech before you go down a carpet.”
Tarantino revealed: “I was DJ – all records, all vinyl. Rather than just sit around in a limo line for two hours, let’s get together for one last celebration.”
